The inspiration behind Ease came from our own personal experiences as a couple in trying to access sensitive healthcare services, such as contraception and STI testing.
These experiences reminded us how, when it comes to sensitive healthcare services, the typical consumer experience is inconvenient, expensive and uncomfortable. Plus, plenty of women’s health issues are also highly stigmatized – when it comes to contraception, fertility and menstrual health, people often feel ashamed or are afraid of being judged, and as a result, refrain from talking about these topics even when they need help or support.
We wanted to change things, and that is why we founded Ease. We wanted to provide a platform where people can feel comfortable bringing up these issues, get the help that they need, and be empowered to take control of their sexual and reproductive health. We believe that accessing women’s health services should be an empowering experience, not a distressing one. That is why we have made it our mission to develop an ecosystem that supports this goal, and which is built on a consumer-focused, education-first, and technology-based approach towards women’s health.
One year and 20,000+ members later, we are seeing Ease develop to become more than just a way to access medical services, but a support system, a community, and an educational platform that creates empowering experience for our users and make them feel understood, supported, and engaged.
We are extremely excited at what the future holds for Ease, and we owe everything to the support and belief of our community, team, advisors and stakeholders in the importance and future of women’s health and wellness.
