Frequently Asked Questions
Taking a PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) Test is important for early detection and diagnosis of this common hormonal disorder. PCOS affects the ovaries and can lead to irregular menstrual cycles, hormonal imbalances, and potential fertility issues. Detecting PCOS early allows for timely management and appropriate treatment, helping individuals address symptoms, regulate menstrual cycles, and mitigate the potential long-term complications associated with the condition.
A PCOS Test is recommended for individuals experiencing symptoms associated with PCOS or those with risk factors for the condition. Symptoms may include irregular periods, excessive hair growth, acne, weight gain, or difficulty conceiving. Additionally, women with a family history of PCOS or those with certain risk factors, such as obesity or insulin resistance, may benefit from a PCOS Test.
The test is performed by a doctor at one of our partner clinics in central Singapore. Once you select a preferred timing on the medical questionnaire one of our customer care team members will be in touch with you to book the appointment.
It typically takes about 7 days to get results after your sample arrives at our lab. In total, expect about 10 days from the time you sample collection. We’ll contact you once the results are ready! If you haven’t received your test results after 10 days, please contact customer.care@ease-healthcare.com.
After the test, you will receive your test results. If your results are abnormal further evaluation may be required. In such cases, one of our doctors will contact you to discuss your results and provide guidance on next steps. They may recommend additional tests, to further evaluate any abnormalities and determine the appropriate course of action.
